About the Role
The candidate is not required to perform hands-on engineering work, but must be able to understand vendor discussions, ask the right technical questions, challenge unclear answers, identify risks early, and drive vendors to deliver.
Monitor and coordinate projects across mechanical design, electronics, hardware components, firmware, mobile applications, backend systems, cloud platforms, testing, and deployment activities.
Act as the main coordination point between internal management, external hardware vendors, electronics suppliers, software vendors, manufacturers, and implementation partners.
Understand basic electronics and hardware concepts, including sensors, power supplies, battery systems, wiring, microcontrollers, PCBs, communication modules, and device integration.
Review vendor proposals, technical documents, quotations, timelines, and deliverables to identify potential risks, missing details, unrealistic assumptions, or integration issues.
Track project milestones, task ownership, dependencies, open issues, testing results, and vendor follow-up actions.
Coordinate hardware-software integration testing, including device functionality, mobile application connectivity, backend API communication, network configuration, data flow, and deployment readiness.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project schedules, issue logs, risk registers, meeting notes, vendor requirement documents, testing checklists, deployment checklists, and progress reports.
Communicate project status, risks, blockers, and next actions clearly to management and vendors.
Requirements
Degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information system or related disciplines.
Knowledge of software coding and system infrastructure is a must.
Experience in managing hardware, electronics, IoT, smart device, retail technology, or vendor-based technology projects is preferred.
Basic understanding of electronics, mechanical design, embedded systems, software development, APIs, databases, cloud systems is required.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with common project management tools.
